I am a 41year old female, I am in good health. I have been have little twinges on my upper left side of my?

abdoman, it kinda moves at times to the middle and then to the right. I have no pain, and my eating habits, and weight havent changed. I guess I am just paranoid as my father 67 was just diagnosed 1 1/2 months agon with colon cancer. Had his colon and small intestin resected, and now we found there are spots on the liver, so Chemo is in the future in the next month or so. I have already asked my doctor if I should get a colonoscopy and asked my dads oncologist, and they have said his colon cancer isnt hereditary and I am fine to wait until I am 50 as normal. Is this normal to have just twinges on my side? I am just getting over a very bad menstral period too, with bloating, etc. Am I just paranoid?
