Have no experience sewing, what beginner books should I buy?

I just bought my first sewing machine, the reason I bought it is because I want to make a quilt for both of my girls, and the baby I am expecting. I am in no rush to make the quilts since I want them to be nice and last, so I need something that can teach me how to learn ALL the BASICS! I also want to be able to make dresses for my girls. Again, I have no experience sewing at all. I have never used a machine. Please help me choose a book or two that will teach me from the beginning.
