Is the Nixon Newton Watch good quality?

I want to know if The Newton is a good watch for me to have. It's only good for up to 30 meters of water. The website said it can withstand some rain and water. What about washing my hands and showering? I can't take my cell phone out in school, so I need a watch. The Newton is stylish and unique like me. :) Do any of you have it? If so, what do you think of it?
